Just got an email today from Buy.com that my Slim AC adapter got shipped! Yay! Looks like they have a few left in stock, but the price is higher a bit [$98] when I first ordered it ($76). Will post some pics when I get it on Wed.

Just to let you know it works with the following models according to VAIO JP:

Just thought I would share some pics of the new AC adapter I just got. It is quite different. I am used to my AC adapter stay on the floor usually, but since this one has a shorter cord that connects to your notebook it has to stay right next to your notebook. I guess it likes to be showed off to others. LOL.
Case holds the AC Adapter and a cord

Hey tifo, I do not have my U adapter nearby at the present moment, but I can tell you that U adapter will be much smaller.

How about one pic with the original TR adapter?
As the picture shows, the cord from the adapter to the laptop is short, how about the one from the adapter to the AC outlet. From the pic, it looks like it uses a much longer cable, but just to be sure, could you confirm that as well.
Also, where did you buy it from?
Thanks.

Yeah that’s what I was worried about…thanks. I guess I’ll stick with the U one. It is very fancy though, enjoy it!
