Doesn’t generic/unlocked mean no need for service plan, just buy the phone and put your current service provider’s sim card in it and start using it?
I’m confused since at another place on their site they have mentioned in red in brackets “new activation required” for this phone (the same thing is there on amazon.com as well) . I called up buy.com but even they are of not much help.
Ye, by new activation they mean that you are responsible to get a new SIM card from your cellular provider, so your phone will be activated and have a new phone number. As long as it is not locked. :wink:
P.S. I actually just sold one of these on Ebay for $380 I think.
