1) Is it safe to remove the battery when the machine is on and plugged into AC power?

2) Is there a cover for the battery compartment when no battery is in place?

1. yes, it’s perfectly fine to take out the battery while plugged in.

Thanks gr00vy.  I’m quite surprised you can remove battery without switching off.  Good stuff, I’ll assume it can be re-inserted too.

do u guys know what are the good way to keep the battery if not using for a long period of times.

for example, do i discharge them before keep it or fully charge?

ps. keep for a while maybe 6-7 months

Best to store it charged and in a cool, dry place. You should try and charge the thing at least once or twice during that time period if at all possible.

It would be a good idea to make a battery cover so we could use the tr1 without the battery and save it. I know it sounds odd, by I use my tr alot in the evening while the est of the family watches tv and usually i am plugged in to a power outlet, bit of a waste of battery life eh?
