Seems like every day i log on recently some $%@* has filled the latest list up with spam posts.

Is it good for a forum to be well known?

May be worth turning off the “allow guests to post” thing. Apart from anything else it would save Jiggy from following up most of his posts with “ah, erm, that was me!”. smile

I remember this issue being brought up in the past when we had a spate of spam postings, but gr00vy didn’t want to force registration as it would put some people off.  Also it leads to many unused accounts if people just wanted to ask one question.

Last time gr00vy did some clever behind the scenes work and managed to stop them, so I’m sure he’s on the case again this time.

Just ignore them for now…

This bot is pretty tricky…attacking from many completely different IP addresses.
