Yeah so I couldn’t find any decent info so I thought I’d bug people here.  I’m in browse mode for a shiny new headset to keep in touch with some of my buddies.

I’ve been using the internal mic which has done a good job.  My only issues with it are that my conversations aren’t private and that sometimes I get weird distortion from the speakers feeding into the mic.  Also of course the hard-drive sounds working their way in.

I’m wondering about people’s opinions on using a Bluetooth vs. normal headset (mic/headphone jack) setup.

I guess it starts to just come down to aesthetics.  The Bluetooth would be cooler with it being more compact and cordless.

Curious if anyone else has experiences to share with video/voice chatting on their TR

If you go the bluetooth root you will have to perform some hacking on the drivers. There is a very big thread on these forums about how to do it. It is not 100% straight forward although I did get it to work it took several hours and I consider myself reasonably competent with computers.

The headset is the way to go for plug and playness bluetooth ironically requires a bit of work

guess i’ll have to look into getting a bluetooth mouse instead, as teh more i start using a wacom with my tr the less I have an extra usb for my mouse…

hey guys,

i switched my bluetoothdevice to a working one! so, for a half year i’m a happy user of a BT headset. by the way, my mouse is working fine! very good powersafe-mode.
