aw geez that was me. i wonder why this forum never remembers me like all the others i am cookied for. maybe its an opera thing. anyway, just a note: all my cartoons are done on a TR3, almost 3 years old, and needs an external cooling system (floor fan) to operate. contributions/donations for an internal cooling system (new CPU fan) can be made here: www.animalnepal.org
thanks!

wow ! Chris your back ! I seriously thought you were probably pissed off with us. I’d be pretty disappointed if i bought a G4 mac and the intel ones came out right after that. No ?
No, I am not upset that the intel chips came out. They didn’t come out for my ibook, and I really don’t care. I bought this as a starter to get into mac. I am going to give it to my wife in a couple of months.
I am then going to get the 13” widescreen new powerbook coming this spring. I am really loving the Mac OS. It’s everything I wanted windows to me and so so much more.
I do miss you guys. This is a great forum. And I am glad to be back!
Th iBook is probably the only laptop I’ve owned in recent years that hasn’t caused an upgrade bug in me to fire up and make me get rid of it after 3 months. I’ve had it for ages and it still does everything so damn well (final cut pro, dvd studio pro - my portable video post-production suite) that I haven’t felt any need to move from it.
Maybe when they get past the first couple of buggy intel ones - jeeze remember the first titanium powerbooks, my friend had his back for service 6 times over a year and they said if it came back once more they’d replace it with a new one. He hated the TiBook so much by that stage that he plugged the power cord from his cordless phone into the modem socket to kill it.
