Well, Sony’s announced a refresh to the TX series, the TX2. Only difference I can see in it is that it will be fanless. I’ve heard several complaints from users about the noisy, annoying fan in the TXs, so this should fix the problem. I’m waiting for somebody here to get a TX2 and review it and compare it to the original TXs.
Its a shame, the TXs haven’t even been out for half a year and they already get revised, sounds like Sony rushed these shoddy notebooks to market if you ask me. It sucks for those who paid $2000+ for their babies only to have a new one come out so soon without a fan. I’d sure as heck be pissed off.  :x
But I perfer the old Ts anyways, so whatever.

I see you haven’t been a Sony fan for a long time. I got my TR1 in August of ‘03 (a month or so after the TR came out) and in that time, I’ve seen 3 major revisions to the TR, 3 models of the next generation and soon 2 of the generation after that. If my math is right, that works out to about 16 weeks per model with one generation change every year. Welcome to the upgrade hamster wheel. Perhaps you should consider leasing.

Well actually, I’ve only become a Sony fan due to their ultraportable notebooks like all of their T series notebooks, the U series, the X505, etc. There is actually a lot about Sony that really irks me, like their high prices, mediocre support, bloatware, etc. But in the end, their innovative and stylish products always seems to win me over.

You are learning, grubworm.  Do not forget their proprietaryness and general lack of support for Linux.  One other reason I love Sony is that every once in a while, you’ll get something really unique and daring from them. The U, X505 and NZ-90 are all distinctly Sony. Sadly, I havent seen anything like these in a while…

Man, after reading this thread, I’m starting to like Sony a lot less than I did before, after reading all the negatives… :?
I don’t even know why I want a Vaio T so bad when theres the Fujitsu Lifebook P7000 series to consider….

Wow sony listening to the people thats a first lol. So this looks interesting no fan so they have liquid cooling instead!? Now thats something to consider since all these subnotebooks are an oven. But of course we still love them and get used to them :D when are they coming out if they are out man i gotta read more often.

They still arent good enough for the TR’s pimpness and greatness of its beauty :D
