Looked over at Yahoo Auctions again and saw this new “seller” putting up a T350P/L with an extra battery and 1 gig of ram up for auction. Says he’s got 50 in total for sale, bidding starts at $300, no reserve. Only accepts Money Order, this should be interesting….

Yeah, you’re right, sorry for wasting anyone’s time, I’ll stop with the posting of these scams. I’m just so angry that they are so prevalent, making auctioning a nightmare now for some and a pain for most others.  :x

to my opinion he posted something in the right thread so we should really let him express and maybe inform us all.

i whold certainly like to open my eyes and mind to new scams and maybe it will benefit my wallet longterm.

so i am all for it for posting scam on ebay, yahoo and everywhere else for better knowledge.

I agree we can’t have a post on every bad ebay and yahoo auction, we would have 500 posts a day. A while back I created a thread (mostly for x505 users because it was more of a high ticket item) that attempts to help people spot a fake auction.

If you have any other suggestions or comments on spotting fake auctions, I suggest posting a reply to that thread, this way we can keep it a bit more organized.

Everyone just needs to be careful online and if it seems too good to be true, it usually is. Laptops generally don’t sell for 50-75% off unless something is seriously wrong, it’s stolen, or it’s fake. Just use common sense and always question yourself to see if you’re falling into the trap.
