One important feature I hope also the next TX will have, is a big enough and wisely placed right shift key, as now the TX has. The TR had a terrible bad right shift key - too small and almost hidden among other keys. For writers this is of paramount importance.
Also I hope that the next TX will have a whiteish keyboard as an option, as the TR series had. Very stylish.
The TX, T and some later TRs already have Dothan cores. The TR/T/TX series traditionally use the ULV (ultra low voltage) version of the Pentium-M. I wouldn’t expect the Yonah ULV chips before the second half of 2006.

tnx, does it make sense to wait for yonah in terms of beter system performance (business applications) and maybe a little bit more playability in games like AOE 3?
My TR2A really can not stand any 3d or graphics… the poor thing is suffering.
BY the way.. is there an upgrade for the graphics card?
i could add also RCA video and audio output or even better digital output. also hot swapable or even beter raid hard disk capabilities. (by this i mean another port to mount a secondary hard drive.
...something the Sharp Actius MP30 has, the ability to effectively use the notebook as an external hard drive for another computer, thus simplifying the file transfer process.
Currently, I do the same thing via my home wireless network, but it could be more seamless.
Had a play with the just released TX out here in Oz. Sweet machine. Thin Thin screen. Overall looks like a nice improvement.
I think it’s really the best subnote going at the moment as it’s small, light and has abuilt in DVD dual burner as opposed to the Libretto’s external dock one.

I considered the Libretto before buying my TX610, but the keys are just too small for the amount of typing I do.
Todays news says that a new Vaio TX2 will appear without a cooling fan! Anybody who knows more about when this model will be available in UK? Or Norway, hopefully?!
So, was the Vaio TX rushed because its only been out for a short time but they are already redoing it to have no fan!! That sucks big time for those that bought the older TXs!!
This is why I would never buy anything, especially technology, when it first comes out.
