question regarding the battery:

lets say, battery is charged full, tr is doing its job while on road, after coming back home in the evening

1. do you let battery power run down before charging?

2. or just plug it with the ac?

3. and what do you do when youre in office, tr is plugged to the ac?

4. battery out or let it stacked in the tr while plugged to the tr?

5. and how do you handle the battery of the tr, when not using it for a while, for example the tr is plugged 24/7 to the ac?

hmmm ... so many tr user but no single comment

These are the things i usually do. But i dont know wheter they’re right or not.

> No i didn’t; i just get a charge whenever i got a chance

> I leave it with the TR almost all the time.

i think there are so many opinions wether whats right and not…

well, after there are no better advise, ill use the battery as i like, after battery is weak, etc. just buy a new one!!!    :shock:  :mrgreen:

As far as I can gather, the major thing to avoid is deep-discharging the battery. And if the battery is ever deep-discharged recharge ASAP. Run off the AC as much as possible. Finally the TR is designed to be operarated with the battery in when running on AC.

I am certainly not an expert on the subject, but I have used Sony’s batteries now for three years and I on infrequent occasions did deep-discharge the battery…if this was causing damage I certainly didn’t notice it but….I did notice that after say 10 charge cycles of just plugging in whenever I got a chance, the full charge capacity of the battery began getting smaller…as soon as I did a deep discharge, that capacity would be restored to full…I used the hell outta my batteries and even after a year of use I still got at least 90-95% of the original use time per charge…
