Do any of your guys use a wireless web cam? I am thinking of connecting a couple to my wireless router. Looking at one for use outdoors. Can anyone recommend a make and model?

If you are refering to “web cam”, I had tried the Logitech Wireless webcam; it connected via USB from the base unit. The max resolution is only 640 x 480. With my experience, the quality is not that good. I need lots of light to make picture clearer. The signal constantly loss. It uses the frequency at 2.4 Ghz,so there are many things around my house that will interfere with this web cam.Another camera type that i tried, the wireless IP camera, this is standalone, so you dont need to turn ur pc on all the time. Connect direct to Wireless Access point, It has web interface, the quality is similar to the previous webcam i mentioned, There weren’t not much signal loses compare to the usb webcam. I ended up returning it and get the one that run with ehter wire instead.

I have the linKsys wireless camera. Mine uses 802.11B and I think for the price it’s pretty good. I don’t think it functions outdoors and it doesn’t transmit sound or has rotation ability via remote.
