Yes, but that’s constant force. My physics is rusty, but we’re talking about collisions here.

F = MA (force = mass* accelleration) -> becomes
F = M*V/(T^2)  (force = mass * velocity / the square of time)

For those of you that failed physics or math, as the time approaches infinity (ie. the drive is just sitting there forever) the force on it approaches 0. That’s also why you kick in a locked door in quickly instead of leaning on it with all your might.

Thanks for the explanation Drachen.  I was just curious because the exactly “1G” rating by the manufacturer sounded a little suspicious. But it does make sense that when they are talking about shock ratings they are talking about the force caused by collision.
