The TX indeed is very nice with the LED technology. Apart from my T350P, the LED is the only thing I admit the TX, which is the biggest selling point of the TX I think. Since I’m in the USA, I do use and feel happy that we have the WAN antenna. I have seen and heard a lot of people who got the TX broke their WAN antenna accidently which I believe its a design fault. But other countries’ TX series wont have to worry about that since they dont have it.

I bought my T350P at a stealer price 2 weeks ago, mainly because the WAN antenna isnt standing out there for you to accidently break it. Mine is completely glued to the monitor.

No arguement at all, the TX is much better than the T now. Slimmer, lighter, and brighter design. I’m going to get the TX here in the US if and only if they fix the WAN antenna.

Oh, also, another selling point of the TX is INDEED the Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR. I’m drooling all over it without having to patch my T350P’s Bluetooth v1.2 and still doesnt get everything the Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR

It is a great machine, a worthy upgrade from my TR1MP, had one for a couple of weeks now. It really doesn’t feel much faster than my TR1, but it is lighter. The screen is not as good as the TR, but it is still a nice screen, and as it takes less power to run, that can’t be a bad thing in a laptop like this.

Sound card is not brilliant either, but it does the job.

If you want the portability then it’s the machine you need.

Does anyone know why the US version has a WAN antenna? I wouldn’t fancy that at all, easy to break!

Phil, I think the reason why since the later models of T started to have the WAN antenna is due to Cingular partnered Sony and pushes the EDGE WAN network in the USA. I have not started using my Cingular wirless WAN trial service yet. I’ll do it once I come back from my trip to Hong Kong.
