Issue regarding sony’s new bluetooth mouse BMS30 & wireless mouse WMS50.
Sony response:
After 3 days investigating, SONY Engineer phoned me this morning, below is their statement regarding the lag and delay issue of the two mouse:
“All wireless will have delay when transfering data, it’s perfectly normal that a wireless mouse delays for 1-2 sec after 5 sec of not moving. It’s our new advanced power saving function.”

Power Saving every 5 sec? 2 sec stop responding after being idle for only 5 sec? Sorry, no sony mouse again…

Another Issue confirmed by SONY China.
All VAIO-TX have been recalled due to a issue of PCMCIA card slot, the slot can not recognise GPRS/CDMA wireless card.

I like my a4 infrared mouse…not good for on the road however, as the sending unit is the size of a mouse (charges the batteries).  but it works great!

I just picked up a black Logitech V200 Optical Mouse for Notebooks for my X505ZP.  Works with an invisible optical (I’ll miss scaring the cat with the red light on the bottom of my mouse).

I like it.  Comfortable in my hand, feels solid, and the horizontal scrolling on the wheel is a nifty feature.

The specs list the average battery life as one year.

Power save is such that I notice no lag after it’s been idle.

The receiver is smaller than my last Logitech optical (which was awful on batteries .. but was no big deal as I have a large assortment of rechargable AA’s for my digital camera).  The last mouse wore out after about three years of hard use .. buttons were getting spongy.

The receiver snaps onto the bottom of the mouse.

I also looked at the V500, but the V200 felt better in my hand.

Viewed, I think the v500 will suit me better, it has 1000dpi “all terrain” sensor and a touch sensative scroll pad, though not bluetooth.
always looking for the coolest mouses, I think it’s just cooler than the v270, plus v270 will cost at least 50 euro after vat and mark-up, while v500 is only 10 euro plus (price of logitech france online store), a better deal to me, considering its revolutionary design.

I wish Logitech was working on a bluetooth travel trackball mouse.

Signed it, I bought the BT Dinova desktop but going back to a conventional mouse is killing me!

Couldn’t agree more. I am working on a BT trackball myself…I need more time to work on it, with finals coming up next week I won’t be doing it anytime soon.
