I have been hunting for weeks in the hope of finding an adapter or cable that will convert from scart to VGA :cry:

does anyone know of a device such as this? any help would be fantastic

Athough it may seem simple to do that, it’s not actually.

The only commercial product that I know of is AVerMedia TVBox   (look under Products => TV Tuners/PVRs => AVerTV Box 9 and AVerTV Box 7). They don’t have SCART as input but you can easily overcome that by buying scart-to-svideo or scart-to-component adapter.
