FrodoID, don’t mean any disrespect, but frankly, you don’t know what you’re talking about.
[quote author=“FrodoID”]I’m gonna puke if you write the terms “LED” or “LCD” once more, because virtually every notebook since… I don’t know, a decade or something… is not using LCDs (which means liquid crystal displays) anymore.
They are using TFT displays. TFT stands for “thin film transistors”. Which aren’t liquid, and aren’t even crystal, but light emitting transistors. And, thus, totally different. Like: not even the same sport.
Here are couple of links for you to study what is LCD and what is TFT:
Just a little quotation from webopedia:
Color LCD displays use two basic techniques for producing color: Passive matrix is the less expensive of the two technologies. The other technology, called thin film transistor (TFT) or active-matrix, produces color images that are as sharp as traditional CRT displays, but the technology is expensive.
I hope that you’re clear now about LCDs and their SUBcategory - Thin-Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Displays - TFT LCDs.
[quote author=“FrodoID”]We know you don’t like the TX. No, we don’t care if you like the TX or want the TX or skip the TX or eat the TX with juicy salad sauce or take it with you to a football game to watch those chesty cheerleaders with it. We just don’t care.
I really don’t understand your attitude here. If you don’t like this thread or you don’t like its author, then don’t read it, end of story. If you know some other facts that negates Gilbert’s claims then you should post it and contest it (highly unlikely, judging by your knowledge).
Your way is offensive, to say the least…
