I have a question about the aircard… what is it? I mean doesn’t the TR notebooks have wireless b/g connection? But Why do some people still needs aircard for? what does it do? what is its purpose…? Can anyone explane it in simple english…...? :oops:

An aircard that most people are discussing here is a product made by Sierra Wireless. It is essentially a wireless modem that uses GPRS techonology for a connection. So, it uses current GSM networks for the connection. So, depending on your location/market/providers, you can get a 56K internet connection wherever you get cell phone signals. So, if you need an internet connection and no HotSpots or other high-speed WiFi connection is not available then the “aircard’ can provide you with decent speeds when you need it.

I have a Verizon one and it’s pretty cool.  Works great in my TR2.
