Sony Part Number for the UGPZ6 Module: 147912912
Sony DAPC Description: BLUETOOTH MODULE
Unit Price (in USD): $93.11
Yes, it is somewhat hefty indeed. Nonetheless, I think this upgrade would prove useful soon enough. I wonder how many TR users will adopt the new module.
My SRX7S’s Bluetooth already have upgraded UGPZ5 (Bluetooth 1.2)
Today I receive the Bluetooth 2.0+EDR module (UGPZ6) from Sony DAPC and try to upgrade my SRX7S.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t work with my SRX7S.
My system can’t detect UGPZ6.
I try to figure out the problem. However, I don’t have another Vaio that can testify.
Maybe UGPZ6 work only on USB 2.0, not USB 1.1 or I get a fault UGPZ6 module.
Does anyone get the UGPZ6 and work with non-TX Vaio well?
Thanks for your help.
[quote author=“Ishii”]Did you install the Toshiba BT Stack with driver as discussed in this thread?
When I put the UGPZ5 in my SRX7S, there will be the message that reminds me to install driver to new hardware “UGX”.
However, I put UGPZ6 in my SRX7S, there are nothing.
I know it’s not the stack/software problem.
I’m afraid that UGPZ6 can’t be compatible with my old SRX7S.
UGPZ6 only works on the USB 2.0 Hi-Speed system.
That’s why I am so frustrated. :?
