Well, I never thought Sony would continue bringing in some Japanese models, like mine VAIO V520G and when VAIO VA series were released in Japan, I thought it would not make it to the shores of the US.
Well, it DID. SonyStyle posted two 20 inch models with relatively better prices compared to V series.
This all-in-one desktop incorporated XP Media Center OS. For some reason VAIO Zone is not included, which I favor very much for my TV, Music and Photos. But oh well.. In Japan VA series can also be outfitted with detachable plates of different colors. Here I guess it is strictly conservative.

Wow.  Thats hot!  The price isn’t bad for those specs either.

I like the Lifestyle system thats on the site as well…except the DVD holder…200 DVDs…I have about 550+, I would love to have them all in one box and be able to play them at will…200 just wont cut it right now.

550+?  Holy cow.  I only have like a dozen or so.  I have more books than DVD’s.

I’ve been buying DVDs since they first came out…I saw the future in DVDs early…and since I am too lazy to rewind, they fit me well.

I also have a ton of box sets, each with 4-8 DVDs…that doesn’t help. Oz, Sopranos, Simpsons, Seinfield, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, etc.

I don’t think you’ll ever be satisfied…the largest I’ve seen on a consumer device is about 400. Even if there was 600, it still wouldn’t work for you since you’d likely outgrow it this year. You’re better off ripping copies onto HDDs.

Erik’s one of the few people around here that I’d expect would have the 4TB or so of storage needed for all that.

Yeah, I’m waiting around for Erik to tell me about the five Buffalo 1.6TB Terastations he picked up on eBay for 8TB of creamy goodness…

Who’s talking about watching movies on a PC? With a MCE system, you’re using your swanky new LCD/Plasma/DLP system to watch videos while sitting on your microfibre couch.    I’m a MCE junkie. It actually works really well.

Well…yeah…good point. But I’m way too lazy to rip them all to the HDD…thats why I liked the 200 DVD storage device…I’d like it better if it was a 500 instead.
