[quote author=“hylton”]hehe…I’ve got the same dilemma…neither gives me everything…
it’s too bad the battery life seems to have gone downhill on the newer S models…some of the earlier units (1 and 2 series) claimed to have 2.5-4 hours w/ the standard battery…that would work for me, but 1.5-3 isn’t going to cut it, if that’s accurate on the newer units…otherwise, this unit provides everything else I need…but I’m also concerned about the heat generated by all of these units…my old R505 gets a bit hot, but the FAN never comes on and when it does, it’s pretty quiet…I don’t want to be carrying around a noise-maker…
on the TX, i love the design and size, could probably live w/ the 11” screen as well, battery life would be awesome…but recent posts about it indicate it’s hot and noisy as well…so again, not sounding good for this unit too…
so i’d be interested to hear from folks that have used both too…to correct my impressions from reading posts (if i’ve gotten the wrong impression).

These two are uncomparable.
I have a S3xx at work and a personal T3xx
If you are concerned about browsing, email, mp3, video and dvd’s the T/TX will do just fine. You can get a T, not a TX or wait until Sony comes up with the next TX model, and hope that they might fix all the stupid bugs.
