Excellent find gr00vy! I’ve been looking to watch things on TV for quite some time, and burning DVDs all the time was getting annoying. Heading off to place an order now!

One question though- is there much overscan on the TV, or does it automatically bring the image in a little so that scrollbars and subtitles don’t get cut off?

There is actually an overscan and underscan feature for the device. I forgot to mention that since it worked pretty well right out of the box.

It’s controlled via a switch on the back. 

Excellent news on the underscan feature, I’m definitely picking one of these up. The TR now does absolutely everything I want with all the peripherals I’ve picked up for it.

Ah, that’s an interesting product as well. The difference being that it has no VGA pass through but it does have an audio cable built in. So, it’s also convenient as well.

This would also make pretty good product as well if you need TV out. Also, this is probably the only solution for our European folks as it supports PAL as well as NTSC. It also seems to have a little more control features…i think. This isn’t a big deal but it also only supports up to 1024x768 resolution at 60Hz.

Hey gr00vy, since you did the review (02/04) have any better products come out or is this still your recommendation?

i had purchased the Grandtec GEZ-1000 to use with my plm-a35 head-mounted display.. it works great with tv but not on the a35.

I just got this adapter few days ago and everything works fine on the TR cept when I plug in the USB power, it gives me this message.

What should I do about it or should I just leave it?
