Yay! My iPod nano is defective already!
And no, I didn’t crack the screen or scratch it up…
Basically, I was just simply plugging it in to sync it when it froze hard. I had to use the reset trick as recommended by Apple which fixed the freezing. However, now the iPod nano will not connect to any computer I try it on (now counting five systems so far!). It claims a USB device error and it doesn’t show up as a USB mass storage device. It does charge though. It seems like others are experiencing this on Apple’s discussion groups but there doesn’t seem like a solution except for getting a new device.
I’m curious if it’s the cable or the device itself. I’m going to stop by my local Apple Store and see if the geeks can verify my suspicions. More updates soon…boo on nano!
