Good price for big Duo. Dell Home has the Sandisk 2GB Memory Stick Pro in stock for $176 - automatic 20% off - $20 off $150 code FWB1XHD65LQ5L5 [Exp 9/22, 7k] + $1 handling = $122 shipped.
Thanks Erik for the link. Amazing price!!!! Just ordered one too for my M1 ( for longer videos). My other 1 Gig Sony Duo Pro High Speed will now be used in my T7.
Darn…I just picked up a 1GB Duo from buy.com for $59. 2GB is so tempting though…
[Edit]
Erik, you’re evil. I just gave in and picked up one since I can use it with my DSC-T1 (30 minutes of MPEG-VX Fine video 640x480 @ 30 fps) and my forthcoming PSP. I figure I can “get rid” of the 1GB card if I decide I don’t need it. Speaking of which, I recently found out that I had 37,835 Sony Reward Points on my Sony card. Funny thing was that I was about to cancel the card when my latest statement arrived. The odd thing is that I have two sets of points. The other set says I only have 1200. Anyways, I noticed it only takes 31,300 points to get a “free” PSP. I didn’t see anything else of value so I figure it’s the best thing to get. Any other suggestions are welcomed.

First, yes I am evil. Second…I should call Dell for some ref. money.
Third…as for the Sony points…every $1 is $100…so 31,300 points is $313…obviously not a ‘free’ PSP.
You can buy from Sony Style or any authorized Sony dealer…charge it to the card, then fill out the credit form. After about 2-3 weeks they will credit your card with the $ to point ratio of 1 to 100. So you have $378.85 in Sony money…thats more then enough for a PSP and games.
Dell sells the PSP too:
“Dell Home has the for $289 - automatic 15% off - $20 off $150 code FWB1XHD65LQ5L5 [Exp 9/22, 7k] = $225 with free shipping. Includes PlayStation PSP Handheld System with 32 MB Memory Stick Duo. Features a 4.5” full color 16:9 TFT screen, stereo speakers, 3D graphics engine and wireless capabilites. “
You may be able to get it cheaper elseware, just make sure its a Sony authorized place. I know Dell is.
“I saw a Sony product that is not in the Sony Rewards Catalog. Can I get this product using my Sony Reward Points?
Yes! You can go shopping at any Authorized Sony Retailer and purchase the item using your Sony Card(sm). Complete the Sony Card Points/Credit Request Form, enclosing a copy of the sales receipt (it does not have to be the original receipt). Send the form and the copy of your receipt to the Sony Reward Redemption Center, at the address indicated on the form. We will deduct the corresponding number of Sony Reward Points at the rate of 100 Sony Reward Points per $1. If you have specific questions regarding redeeming Sony Reward Points, please contact a Sony Customer Service Representative at 1-877-718-SONY (7669). They will be glad to assist you.
“
I’ve found this is much better then the overpriced stuff they offer in the catalog.
I just tried to purchase the 2gig duo, but when I put the coupon code it it says it has expired, though this post says it expires today. Where does the automatic discount come from? Thanks for any help.

The 7K after the date means 7,000 uses…I guess it hit the limit…sorry. :(
Thanks for the new code, it works. You also mentioned an automatic discount of 20%, is that another code or something else that I dont qualify for? Thanks again for your help.

Nope, they raised the price…the auto 20% is gone. It was $145 earlier.
What is your Estimated Ship Date Tifosiv?
Mine is on or before 10/7/2005.. geesh.. :(
Is this normal? I was under the impression
that they’ll ship it today.. and I paid $131.95
with shipping and tax not the $122 you’ve posted..
did I miss something?

you’ve been delled. They don’t have the products they sell. They order it once you pay for it. By the time you get it the price will drop.

Dell charges tax to certain states that they have a retail location in…it’s not their choice. $122 + your tax % = $131.95. As for the ship date…it said when we ordered, usually ships within 2 weeks…so yeah, it’s normal. When they order a bulk product from the manufacture they put it up on the site right away…they sell out, and when they get it, they ship it off.
I ended up getting my 1GB card from them for $25. It was originally about $100 but it took so long to ship they gave me a $75 credit toward the stick…it was worth the wait.
Eek! Automated phonecall from Dell telling me the order won’t ship until after 10/14/2005.
At least the order is still legit and I’ll still eventually get it. It’s taking forever but at least the price is still good. My DSC-T1 will be happy and so will my future DSC-N1 or DSC-M2.
