Hi, I have been out of touch with the latest laptops and need some advice here. Assuming that I have a budget of USD$2500, what’s the latest laptop model that you will recommend? Here’s the list of wanted features, ordered by their importance. Thanks.

1. weight
2. size
3. battery life
4. Fully equiped like centrino, bluetooth, cd/dvd writer, firewire.
5. Wow factor
6. usability
7. Anything else ?

It will be good if you can provide the model and URL for reference ... It need not be a sony though.  :D

Judging by your top 3 priorities, I’d say the new Vaio TX from Sony with the extended battery.  It only weighs 3lbs.  It has an 11.1” screen.  Can you handle 14 hrs per charge cycle?

i like what panasonic has to offer.  they have everything under the hood, but the style just ain’t that great =/

The new ‘T’ series coming out in the US will offer the features I just mentioned.  We have no release dates yet, but knowing Sony it will just show up on their site without warning.

the weight is simply amazing ... but I can’t find any panasonic model with BT ...  :(
