Ok so I know this is the TR formum, but like myself alot of TR owners had the SRX line first.

I think the wireless card in my old SRX77p (which I gave to a family member when I got my TR) died ...

Does anyone recall if it uses a mini-pci card like the TR?

Could I get the same Intel 2200BG card I have in my TR for the SRX?

My answer is YES. I’m using intel 2200bg with my srx99p.

I tried to upgrade my SRX77 with an Intel 2200BG but I didn;t have any luck getting it working.  Did the new card work for you immediately?

So the card fit in the internal slot in your 77 ...


Did Windows recognize the card and show up in Device Manager?

or did it not show up at all?

...it fit,m and was at leats partially recognized.  An IRQ issue prevented it from working.  A cardbus controller had the IRQ the card wanted… apparently the included ORiNOCO card uses a TI PCI-1410 cardbus controller to get to the computer… can’t say I fully understand the issue.

Intel 2200BG works fine on my SRX99P. I think your SRX77P is absolute same as mine so it should work.
I remove Orinoco and plug in new 2200BG and power up. Windows detect and show it up. I run setup downloaded @ intel and it works fine.
