I was wondering if it would be possible to find someone that could create a custom version of the TR1 Bios. I have seen much interest in the ability to boot from a USB flash drive. I too, have a huse interest in the ability to do so. I have a 4GB flash drive, and a 5GB PCMCIA Drive and would love to use either one as a removable drive to run a seperate OS on.
Since the TR series supports botting to the Sony USB Floppy, it seems reasonable to think that there is no hardware limitation to keep from booting to other devices.
Is it possible to modify the BIOS rom file to permit the laptop to boot to USB drives or to a PCMCIA drive?
If someone has the ability, I would be willing to comission (pay) for this to be done.
