Promising the AtomChip notebook in January 2006 at a price of $8,500 - $15,000 “depending on the completeness” the SG220-2 is a notebook computer with a video camera, 6 cell LiOn battery pack and a proprietary mother board, processor, coprocessor, RAM and storage. The AtomChip’s main claim to fame is the 1 TB of non-volatile RAM (used as memory) and 2 TB of non-volatile RAM used for storage making a hard drive unnecessary according to the company. It’s certainly an innovative notebook but we’ll have to see if it ever materializes. Here are the full specs:
