[quote author=“Anonymous”]This tool seems wild! but I don’t have a clue about what’s going on…I don’t understand multipliers, but I assume a setting of low voltage is best. But how low should you go? And how come the clock speed drops? Is that good? I am using these settings:
- AC Line operation: Dynamic switching
- Battery operation: Max. Battery
Custom Dynamic Switching: enabled
and then on the CPU Voltage setting:
enabling 6x and 10x and playing with the voltage settings for each (setting lower, then testing).
Is this what I am supposed to be doing? Already the HD temp has fallen a few degrees but maybe it’s cause the wind is blowing thru my room now…I was getting warnings about it being 55c+ when I first installed and now it’s stable at 54c. Too bad the fan control does not work on the TR3, then I could really destroy this thing….

that was me! I just installed opera 8.02 over 7.5. Don’t believe the instructions, install to a new directory, and copy over all the needed config files, don’t forget wand.dat Anyway, I am looking for ANYTHING that will speed up this TR3 and cool it down too. It’s become such a slogger I am thinking about getting a replacement. Programs like Outlook, Adobe PS CS2 and InDesign are becoming unbearable…
