Too early to comment ? How compatible will the TR or the S types be with Longhorn ... Also will it be worth upgrading from XP pro to Longhorn for the average user?

:shock: Why not wait a year before asking this question? Longhorn isn’t scheduled to miss any RTM release dates until 2006. The builds out there are more-or-less alpha builds.

It will be worth it in the same way that the upgrade from 95 to 98 will be. I’m not really expecting too much innovation out of Redmond anymore.

Just got my longhorn DVD burned and it boted up and said install longhorn :D


I found myself getting pretty excited actually. But then; what the hell am i going to install it on?

It’s pretty heavy on the requirements. If you use shared video (which i dont) then it’s requireing 512MB of Ram and really a P4 or better. Trouble is i only have one P4 (unlike Tiv and his roomfull 8) ) and it’s my main windows do everything editing, cruching etc machine. Can’t dual boot install either…..

Bummer.
