Ouch. I can’t access my 4 month old T250’s hard drive when I boot up. Using boot disks I get a message that there is no operating system….. I am rarely getting a light in the keyboard’s HD activity LED indicator. I am HOPING maybe it’s just a loose connection, so have tried to remove the case. I’m stuck at the rear left corner. I think the kensington lock thingie is all that’s hold the case in place? Anyone else know or know where I can access a service manual (not owner’s manual) so that I figure out how to access the HDD????
Thanks for the link. I finally did the left hinge cover off, dissassembled and reassembled everything (twice). Still no joy. Sony support told me to do a system restore. DriveSavers wants $500-2700 to recover my data. Does anyone know if there’s and IDE adapter for the 1.8” drive????? I’m so screwed….
Thanks for the tip. That’s exactly what I did. When I plugged the HDD & the enclosure into another computer, there is all was! I ran a scan disk on that drive, put it back into the computer and was up and running again. So, Windows crashed, not the HDD.
