For anyone else that’s still hunting for an X505 and wants to join the club  : http://cgi.ebay.com/Sony-VAIO-X505-North-American-VERSION_W0QQitemZ6789721050QQcategoryZ31558QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
That guy only has 3 feedbacks, but then he sold a car before so he looks like one of those guys that uses eBay to sell a few of the things he doesn’t use anymore. Looks pretty legit, but if I were you I’d still ask him to take a few pics of everything included(and also to check if he’s using stock images).
At $650 but he has a reserve price, which he claims to be low, anyways anyone that wants the English keyboard, have fun with it.
That’s frightening to see how people are willing to sell their hard earned (guess it was not that hard earned in that case) extreme laptop at such a low price :| Imagine, if you knew this guy, you could have bought that jewel for 700 :|

i’d be very sceptical of buying such an item from a dude with only 3 feedbacks
I don’t see what the problem is, I’m going to be bidding on it. As I said he’s accepting Escrow, and not some scam escrow that he made up but the escrow.com escrow service. I’ll be getting my product first before he gets the money. Besides he did sell a jaguar :? . I don’t see how your “being skeptical” makes any logical sense.

Escrow gives peace of mind I agree. But it cracks me up when people are so positive about buying crap on ebay. Wait until you get burned by a dude with 400+ feedback. It happens, and frequently ebough for it to be an issue. There’s even a scam going on new tech items where the seller (loan shark) takes your hard earned and makes money on it and then delivers the goods to you months later when they are cheaper.
I know one dude who got done on a deal with a dude with 200+ positives (all low price items). He lost $3000. The other 8 people who got scammed lost similar amounts. And one even rang me up because he could see i’d asked a question and was sceptical, he said he’d done his money and did I have any contact details for the guy. The cell number was a pre paid un traceable one and the address I assumed false. I told him good luck.
Yea, that’s why it doesn’t really matter how much feedback the other person has anymore, I really only resort to 2 kinds of methods for buying items now, either escrow or people with the PayPal protection(which means they must have 50+ feedbacks and applied for it). That way if they didn’t ship the goods, I’ll just apply to get my money back. It’s just alot safer if you can get your money back from a third source (ie. a big company).
