When Sony first introduced VAIO X505, a number of accessories were included with the notebook itself. The primary target for marketing of this amazing eXtremely light and thin notebook was businessmen and executives.
Therefore, they designed an executive attaché case PCGA-MAC505 in limited quantities, to be exact 505 units were made. This case matches the color of the X505 notebook, the case itself seems to be made of black brushed aluminum. The briefcase was only available in Japan. I bought one through Dynamism – a company that imports JP products to the US.
The case itself is also pretty light and thin. As you will see in the pictures, special departments were molded to hold your X505 notebook, the LAN/VGA dongle, Wireless PC card, and X505 mouse. There is a pocket to hold some of your papers or documents. Do not hope to carry more than what it is intended to carry because it was designed to be just a carrying case.
When I carry around that case, I have a feeling that I am carrying a million dollars in it, so some handcuffs would be nice. 
All in all, the case is well made, prone to scratches if you are not careful, looks really cool.

Ye the case like any good briefcase would be pricey. Since it is made by Sony, expect to pay premium anyways.  :wink:  But as a neat accessory and a limited edition, it is worth it.

well.. ‘worth’ is relative

for $300 i can buy a leather Coach bag… o wait. i already HAVE a Coach computer bag. der. so it’s definitely NOT ‘worth’ it for me.

I do both…well sort of, my Dell just cost me $999 (with another 19” LCD). Hey, it was delivered within 2 days of ordering…not bad.
