Hi I was wondering is there a way to really utilize the motion eye to its full potential, I mean it can capture 640x480 stills, but using the network capture program it only captures video at some lame resolution, I think this is because its designed to make tiny file sizes to email to people… when using windows xp’s camera window the quality is silky smooth and crisp , is there anyway to get captures to look like this? using a different program maybe?

sorry when I say captures I mean full video capture as smooth as the preview window, not stills obviously

Well, you can try using Windows Movie Maker. It will convert it to WMV (which is decent) but you can record at 640x480 @ 30 frames per second. The quality it pretty good and it’s free!

You’ll need to tell it you want a custom setting and select Video for local playback which is 640x480 with a 2.1Mbps bitrate.
