LCD screen ! Sony or Dell

Right i want to shell out some dosh for a new LCD screen. I’ve arranged delivery from the US so i can order from a US website.

Im looking at the Sony 19” LCD screen

Or the dell 19”

Please guys help me decide which ones better. Spec wise they both look the same really. Also i want to know if anybody has a better suggestion.

What ever has DVI inputs go for it…

I have personally seem that same kinda sony LCD with DVI input from the PC and the colors look spectacular….

I have also seem the dell 21 inch lcd and it also looks very nice..

I personally believe the sonys have brighter colors….
And sony is always a winner when it comes to displays

Don’t most of Dell’s higher-end LCDs use Samsung parts?

Just my opinion but… if u will be able to exchange, go with the Dell.  It has the slightly higher response time, and a larger contrast ratio which is great for color accuracy.  Even though they have carried along a bad title of having many dead pixels… it seems like sumthing that has just stayed with them.  Plus, if u are able to exchange it (for there being maybe 2+) if u b*tch enough to Dell they are supposed to be very good with exchanging them.  I’ve been very happy with my 2005FPW.
However, if u wanna keep along with the Sony Whore title…  raspberry

Might as well go Sony… of course for the price, you might want to look at Dell’s 23” wide screen LCD

What about the price?  His price range (considering the two monitors he listed) is $600 away from the Dell 24 inch (they dont make a 23 inch) and thats considering that its on sale right now…

if he were to go 23”, i’d just go up to 27” and get an HD-ready LCD tv/monitor…

i recommend samsung syncmasters - they are worth the money and fast enough for TV/DVD/Game playing. I have a 720b, it was cheap and it’s quality.
