Problem Creating a VAIO Recovery Media Kit

Hi all,

I’ve just purchase a Sony VAIO T350P/L and before I even try to do anything with the computer I thought it would be a good idea to create the Recovery Media.

However I keep getting a write fail at 21% of completion when trying to write to a DVD. I’ve just wasted 4 DVD’s and I’m not happy!

Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

Give a calll to the Sony Support and explain what happened, demand if necessary the recovery set to be mailed to you free of charge.

Have you tried burning any files aside from making recovery discs?

No, I haven’t tried to burn anything apart from the recovery disc.

It took about 6-7 attempts but I’ve finally had success!
I’d still like to get the Recovery Disc from Sony but unfortunatley I live in Australia and Sony Support will not mail the discs outside of the USA.  :cry:  Why Sony don’t provide the recovery disc with the laptop I’ll never know!

Sony Australia do not offer the VGN-T350 for sale here. The only T series available is the VGN-T37GP which is basically the same spec as the VGN-T370P (with out the EDGE modem).
