A common mistake is people think that the more megapixels they get, the better quality picture they’ll get.. not true. A 3.2 MP camera will take equally good pictures as a 7MP camera, if you just intend to have regular sized pictures developped. When you want to get a higher MP camera is if you’re planning on blowing your picutres up.

This is totally true. For instance, my Sony DSC-F828 actually takes better pictures at 5MP than at 8MP. One of the reasons is that the chip sensor is a bit small for 8MP and actually makes pictures a little more noisy (especially in low light situations). Also, if a camera has a bad lens to begin with then higher MP isn’t going to mask the problem or make pictures look better.
do you guys have any idea what’s the resolution of the regular rolling film? :D since i saw the film can be developed in many different size. its resolution should be very high. am i right?

35mm film is the equivalent in quality of roughly an 11 mega pixel camera.
I picked up the Olympus e-300 about 4 months ago..
It’s great.
My 4th digital camera, others where a Fuji, Canon and a Sony..but after getting this one..
I don’t think I’ll be needing a 5th.
well i have made my mind up now and i am thinking of going for either Cyber-shot DSC-P200 or Cyber-shot DSC-T33. Could u people tell me which 1 is better as both seem to be the same. Thanks
In what way do you think they are the same? Form factor - totally different; resolution 7.2 (P200) vs. 5.1 (T33). I’d go to the store and play with both and see what you like the best.

I think one of us is looking at the wrong camera. Isn’t the P200 7MP and the T33 5.1MP?
