Ye, it looks very neat in a very VAIO fashion. Once it gets here in the US, I’ll add it to my VAIO mice collection

 This is definitely up there with the Apple hockey puck mouse and those japanese creature-esque mice a lot of people were excited about a year ago as the worst mouse design I’ve ever seen.

No thanks for me. The only Sony collection this will be in is the collection of first-class Sony screw-ups.

It looks neat but personally I think it would really be a pain in the rear to use (it jus doesn’t look like it would fit human hands well at all).

Nah. It’s got some curved surfaces. Way too avant garde for IBM.

hmm, may be it was designed by Sony and IBM together…the curves by Sony and the hideous look by IBM
although how hideous something looks can also be considered avant-garde

That’s one of those things that you buy, thinking it’s different and cool, but never use because it’s uncredibly impractical…

Hey guys, I just received this mouse we’ve been discussing here. And you know what, it is one of the most comfortable mice I ever used! The feel and the way it is ‘‘placed’’ in your palm is awesome. I have used it for two days now, it currently replaced my black wireless VAIO mouse - and I love it. The pictures as usual do not give you a full experience until you actually try it on your own.

[quote author=“Ishii”]Update: Here’s some pictures of the weird looking VGP-UMS50 mouse
It doesn’t look quite as uncomfortable in these trade show pictures as it does in the press pics.

Any ideas on a price? Probably a kick in the teeth. Sony is worse than the vendors at movie theatres when it comes to mark-ups and rip-offs… :p
If it’s comfy though, might be a nice addition to a VAIO laptop

The VGP-UMS50 is relatively affordable. It cost from $33.00 to $36.00 in the United States.
