Hi, this is my first post here… This is the only Sony T series forum I could find… 

I noticed two dots (doesn’t look like bad pixels though) on my T150P/L and wondering if there any service manuals available online so I can try to clean LCD myself…
I opened laptop body without any issues, but not sure how to remove clips from display’s mounts…

also, it sounds like laptops left speaker is shot so I’m wondering is anyone tried to upgrade speakers (sound quality is my major complain bout this laptop so far)

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. I just moved from NJ to MI 10 months ago…what township do you live in?

The dots…are they dark spots?

I don’t think anyone has tried to upgrade the speakers, but i could be wrong. Your best bet is to buy a good quality portable speaker solution.

Dot’s are dark, but they do look rather like dirt than dead pixels…

Try using a microfiber cloth to wipe them away, may be even scratch them.

I have 3 dead pixels on the lower left hand side of my TR :(

I was asking about dark spots because some of the Sony LCDs are prone to it…its a spot about the size of a fingerprint that is darker then the rest of the LCD.

If you think it’s dirt, maybe you should contact Sony tech support and ask about warranty coverage…maybe you can tell them that you think the LCD panel is not tightly sealed which allowed dirt to enter, which is not supposed to happen.

no warranty for me :( bought it used… otherwise i wouldn’t even try to open it.

I don’t think anyone has seen the service manual online, but you can purchase it direct from Sony Spare parts…

I don’t have the part #, but if you call they should be able to provide it for you.

The manual should be less then $10 + shipping.
