Out of place in this thread but what are ur guys’ opinions on the Mini’s? I was thinking about getting one of those as my Scion xB aspirations left me at the report that Scion was 3rd worst in “problems per 100 vehicles” reports.    (odd though as they are a branch of Toyota… basically tied with Lexus on least problems per 100)

I was thinking about an 02’-04’ 6-speed Cooper S but i heard from a tow trucking guy (long-story) that in the last year he has towed at least 18-19 Mini’s due to their electrical systems failing… that kinda made me question it…
But they are soooo cool and in my price range…
What do u guys think?

neat little car, and if you get the S, or Cooper Works, they pack a lot of power.  Surprised about the quality problems - being a division of BMW, I would have figured high quality.

I’d consider one, but they’re too tiny, and way overpriced IMO…  Take your 30-40K and get something better..

Its gonna be my first car… i really only have about 20k to play with… its been between that, an RX300, a RAV4, or RX-8 if they lower into my price area… (in which case.. i will jump on the RX-8 )

Plus, it doesnt matter to me that they are too small b/c for me, its practical enough… i really dont need to transport much more than myself and with getting 40 mpg highway… gas prices won’t be slitting my neck. (that’ll be left to insurance :cry: )
