Thats quite strange, considering most schools, universities etc. heavily invest in desktop computers because they’re easy to upgrade and cheaper ofcourse.
I guess you have to figure private and public firms are probably buying notebooks for their employees as an alternative to a workstation - if it means increased prodcutivity when away from the desk and office.
Also, consider that many laptop models now are advertised as desktop replacements.. perhaps some consumers are going that route?
definitely.. Universities buy a lot of desktops, but I think they’re big buyers of laptops as well.. I know my university has hundreds of notebooks for loan at the library.
