The “VGA to s-video/analog” cable from ebay has arrived. Looks new. Perhaps later this evening I will try it out on my T250 when I get home from work. Let’s hope it’s compatable.

I have my fingers crossed for you. I guess you will need to enter the advanced settings although may work as soon as you plug in. Hope you are able to try both S-Video and the RCA Video.

I hooked it up. The TV screen responds with a flicker every time I try to switch to the monitor but I guess the signal is not strong enough to activate the TV into showing an image. This was with the s-video part of the cable. The analog does not respond at all. I tried hooking the s-video to the input on my Canon GL2 camcorder and the same thing happens; it flickers dramatically like it will show something but it does not. I checked out the BIOS also and made a display adjustment but still no success, as well as trying all the settings I knew to try in display properties/settings. I even got the T250 display to black out after switching to the other monitor; it seems to recognize another monitor but that’s it.

Would have been nice but I do not really need an output to a TV and do not see an absolute necesity in the distant future. I can always get an LCD monitor if need be later on, or a different dongle…

Booo…shame on Sony for not providing proper TV out. Oh well when I get mine, it will have to be a proper TV Out dongle….grrrr

As a bit of consolation, I was getting only about 400 KBPS on my Verizon WIreless Broadband PC5220 card and I noticed things were getting kinda slow. So I re-installed Venturi and the Mobile connection manager. Next I emptied Temporary Internet Explorer files and increased the disk space therein. I am not sure what did it but now the little T250 is doing around 1 MBPS according to this web page:

averaging between 700 KBPS and 1.2 MPBS. Not sure what I did that worked but now this lil laptop downloads pages real quick! It’s so great to be able to take the T250 anywhere like a mobile phone and get online without routers or base stations to tie me down into one area.

thats why i chose the p7010d, its 1.2 and 60g 7200 rpm. its not the fastest machine ever but for home reason and traktor lives, its totally enough, plays smooth and fast and also using the firewire for an aureon valve. I have the greates sound in the smallest package.he he.
