Stardock has finally moved most of their new Thinkdesk products into the beta stage (except for Multiplicity which is production ready).

Multiplicity is extremely neat in letting you control multiple computers from one set of keyboard and mouse. It’s not a software KVM in the traditional sense. While you only need one keyboard, you do need monitors for each of the computers (or a hardware switch for multiple monitors). The beauty of the product is that if you were to have two monitors next to each other representing two different computers, you can simply move the mouse from one screen to the other and start typing and it will be seamless. There’s no hotkey needed. You just move and go.
ThinkSync is another neat utility that lets you sync folders on different computers. There are a lot of utilities like this one but I like the simplicity of this one because it integrates with Windows Explorer and you can easily sync stuff over the Internet. For instance, I can be away from home (i.e. Starbucks, a friend’s house, school) and working on a document. When I save, the program will immediately (or at a scheduled time) send a copy to my file server at home to be backed up.
I haven’t yet played with the other applications in the suite yet but they’re definitely worth the money if you need these kinds of utilities.
