[quote author=“islandmanagers”]It certainly makes sense that cpu-z can’t see the built in RAM so I guess I was shipped the wrong RAM. Will this hurt the machine? Cpu-z says that the FSB:RAM is 3.5 but that the frequency it’s running at is 166mhz. Will my machine run better with the better proper RAM?
Dont worry, no problem here. You were shipped with PC3200 upgrade module that it can be run @133, @166 and @200. And it currently runs @166(DDR is 333)
With ratio of 3:5, CPU-Z is right when show your ram @166MHz.
With FSB is 100MHz, you will see some specs below
- FSB of RAM will runs @166MHz with ratio 3:5. Actually RAM speed will be 2x @333MHz (DDR)
- Bus speed will be @400Mhz as desired of ratio 4x of FSB.
Your RAM is running of maximum speed supported (333MHz).
