I am not sure if this is a problem. I barely have my vaio tr2a for 3 months and the license for this software has expired. It it by any chance just trial version or is there something I need to do to get it reactivated again short of buying a new license.

Bad news is that you now have to pay. They only give you 3 months free, enough to get you relying on it? I think a new sub is still less than having to buy the whole lot from new though.

That’s right, OEM full versions only come with a 3 month license on Norton. A sub is about 10 - 15 dollars I think roughly for a year. Not that expensive and cheaper than buying it again boxed

If you decide to look into another product besides Norton, I would strongly recommend Trend Mircro’s PC-cillin. I’ve used Norton and McAfee in the past and found both to be cumbersome in one way or another. Thanks to another post on this site, I decided to try PC-cillin. It is easy to buy, easy to install, easy to configure and it automatically prompts you when a new virus is found and blocked so that you can download the latest dat file. You can always get the free version of Grisoft’s AVG if you really need to save the cash or are just annoyed by crippleware.
