Just a quick note that I’ll be away for a bit again but will be checking in periodically when I can.

Unfortunately, my mother suffered a stroke this past weekend and I will be busy tending to family matters. Luckily, it wasn’t a severe stroke and my mother still has relative mobility and no apparent paralysis; however, she’s not the same and only time will tell if she will recover.

I’m sorry, gr00vy.  My father-in-law just went through that same thing last year.  It wasn’t too serious.  He lost some of his vision and has been on a very strict diet and medication ever since.  The only positive is that he has been the coolest guy in the world this past year.  He no longer sweats the small stuff and has a renewed sense for life.  A brush with death can do that to a person.

Sorry.  I know all of that might sound somewhat morbid.  My mind works kinda funny at night.
