Trying to do that but as I tried to change the driver, the system crashed - retarted and now bluetooth is not working. Under device manager -> bluetooth devices I have ‘Bluetooh Bus Enumerator” which I cannot disable or uninstall, nor can i update the driver. Any idea how I can get rid of this? At the mo, that is causing the main problem and I am not able to do anything and Bluetooth will not run even when Widcomm is installed
I cannot revert back to the default settings using MS drivers for Bluetooth Radio in order to start from scratch… Need to sort this out
Thanks
Bobbi

Oks… finally got this working although no idea what I did in the end but had to edit some of the driver install files to resolve the issue posted by me above. I am now getting audio to the headset but the sound going through the mic seems to be very low even when held close up. Any ideas? Settings under sound & audio are on full

IMO, follow my instructions to see if problem can be resolved:
- Restart to safe mode.
- Remove all BT device drivers, you may have to remove all them from registry. HKLM > SOFTWARE > CurrentControlSet > Enum > USB, you find any line of your Vid_044e&Pid;_3003 and remove them. Uninstall Widcomm.
- Restart to normal mode, Windows will find BT device and install its driver for BT.
- Now, change BT driver from Bluetooth Radios to driver from zip file bt_adapter_patcher.zip and then run patch.bat, when done go to next.
- Change BT driver to Widcomm driver and install Widcomm.
- Restart to safe mode, run BTPatcher.exe in zip file widcomm_patcher.zip. Two exe files are in C:\Program Files\Widcomm\Bluetooth Software directory and two dll file in C:\Windows\System32 directory.
- Restart to normal mode and see if everything works fine.

anyone an ‘expert’ with widcomm? i have a problem, i setup all my devices, audio works fine etc.
However my phone has come up as a laptop, and i cant change it to a phone device, thus not being able to use the facilities such as transferring a file, i removed the initial discovered device, but whenver i do a search it automatically come sup as a laptop, meaning that it has it stored somwhere, the mac add. of the device that is, and auto installs it as a laptop, any ideas in how to sort this out?

This is a bug in current ( 1.2.0.41) skype, try an older version, that would help!

Last question: I have to chance the hardware-setting just once, right? Because I’ll create a new image of my system and have to install all that stuff once more.
The hardware settings needs just to be modified just once.
HD and motherboard may be replaced without the need to patch the bluetooth module again.

I have just completed the bluetooth software update to widcomm drivers. MY headset now works perfectly through the bluetooth connection, however my dialup networking through my phone no longer works nor does the Sony Ericsson Desktop software for my P910a. I cant dial out as I did before on my P910a or my T637 with SP2 or sync my phone. I do like the idea of using my headset, but not at the expense of losing other key features. Has anyone else experienced this problem or am I alone here? Does anyone have any suggestions on how I may resolve this issue? Thanks,
Darek

[quote author=“sbs74”]I finally got Widcomm installed on my TR5mp VAIO. the computer recognizes my HBH-35 sony ericsson headset with the headset profile.
having said that I can not hear anything (other than statics) and my microphone doesnt seem to work.
You need to run a patch (patch.bat) to change a setting in the bluetooth module, read through this thread and you will find information about it.
The BT module in the TR is routing the audio data incorrectly with its factory default settings.

Dear ngvuanh,
Could you or anyone else please give me a link to the bt_adapter_patcher.zip file?
I have a Sony Vaio VGN-S1XP and a Logitech Mobile Pro Headset which -obviously- did not work together.
I have installed and patched the WIDCOMM drivers, they work fine (green and blue icon in the taskbar) and I can connect to the bluetooth headset, it says an audio gateway is activated, but I don’t hear anything through the headset.
Is there anything else I needed to do?
Thank you very much for any info!

When I try to run the patch I get the error: Couldn’t open \\.\csr0 at 12000000 bps (usb) - any ideas?

I have just installed the internal BT module in my Sony TR3 and have some questions on getting my BT earpiece to work with it. The first question that I have is ....
How do I check if my driver is Widcomm or something else?
