Media Center Volume is waaaay low

I just set up my T250 laptop to run VAIO Media Center using my VAIO PCV W700 desktop as the server.  It’s cool!  I can watch DirecTV on my laptop, but the volume is barely audible.  Better with headphones, but still low even on max volume.  I’m maxed all the volume settings on both machines but no change.  Ideas?

If bass boost is on it can greatly reduce the volume Fn B on a tr

when you set Bass and Treble to lowest, sound level will lound but when you slide a bit higher levels of Bass and Treble, you will see sound level drop and rise when you continue higher B and T volume.
