I was at club vaio and watch a tutorial.

In this tutorial i saw this utility, anyone know if this utility can make my Sony VGN-T150 with Matshita UJ-822da have a Region Free?

I travel a Lot and have many DVD from diferents country.

DVD region setter can only set the region of the drive, it cannot make the drive region-free.  I suggest you search the forum for “region-free”.  You’ll see what discussion there has been on making the UJ822 region-free.  There are essentially two ways to make a drive region-free: software bypass (e.g. dvdidle) and firmware replacements.  Currently neither approach works for the UJ822, since the drive checks the region before allowing raw data read, and there are no firmware replacements available yet (check http://www.rpc1.org for region-free firmware).  Good luck.

I checked there and they don´t give the same attention as here.

I They are more preocupe with Pioner, LG, and other brands.

If you check there you will find 1 post of mine and the answer from “experts” is to send a e-mail to Sony and ask about it.

Well if you looking for a FOrum is because you have tried a FACTORY and they pass you away.

I´m very happy here because everybody SOLVE or TRY.
