[quote author=“tifosiv122”][quote author=“coolfire74”]Thanks, Erik,
By the way, I still can not find the tools on http://servicesales.sel.sony.com/web/index.jsp. I searched by part # of Driver: J-2057-713-1, but could not find it.
If I want to replace the keyboard, what should I do? Any suggestions? I know you replaced yours at CompUSA, but I am not very sure I can find some one to do the same thing for me.
Thanks!
The tools must be ordered over the phone. I really can’t help you too much with the taking it apart…I couldn’t do it (rather I was sort of afraid to keep trying). The service manual did not help too much as there were too many parts and it was only 2 pages.
I spoke with the CompUSA guy, he’s willing to do it (another forum member is sending me their x505) for $350 labor. I don’t know if thats something your interested in but you can send me your 505, I can have it repaired, and sent back to you.
Other then that, he said he used his finger nails to pry the CF part away from the body.
Good luck,
Erik
Try find Panasonic Cell Phone screw driver on eBay or somewhere. It is triangle same as some screws on X505.
All screws at bottom is covered by rubber foots.
