Hey guys groovy or drachen I notice you guys have t68’s. Are you guys familiar with the slow interface responce on the t68m phones ..? I hear there was a firmware update for it but it was not available to US customers. I dunno if you guys manage you get that firmware/software update   and how do I install that on my t68m . I like to use its BT with a sony BT adapter together to connect to the internet.

You can’t update the firmware manually easily. If you’re in North America, you can send it directly to SE in MN (call them first) and they’ll upgrade it and send it back. If you’re in Europe, many phone shops can upgrade you. Contrary to popular belief, there is no magical firmware to greatly improve menu speed or reception. The phone is what it is, but there is a firmware that will upgrade it to T68i features. I wouldn’t bother with that, personally. I improved the T68 by graduating to the T616.

I have used my T68m, T68i and T616 to connect to the Internet easily and reliably with my NZ90 Clie over BT, so it shouldn’t be a problem to connect your TR with your T68m.

SE ..?  do they have a website or number ...? will they upgrade to t68i firmware ..?

you connec tto the internet using what plan/service or using a ISP ..?

I get Net service directly from my carrier, T-Mobile.

Uh…yeah, basically what Drachen said. SE can update your phone for you but I really don’t think it’s worth the hassle. The phone’s interface is slow…although that has nothing to do with the actual throughput or usage of wireless features.

You are probably better off getting a new phone…I loved my T68i at the time but am much more happier with my Z600.

I also use T-Mobile for service.
